When you Say X1 do you mean the small slot or is it a PCIE X16 marked _x1, some motherboards with two PCIE X16 slots give one more lanes than the other so check your motherboard manual. I mean PCIE X16 marked _x1. x1 is gen 4 and x2 is gen 3. Check your bios to make sure the PCIE slots are set to the correct gen. WebEverything goes smoothly, except that everytime I boot the computer, the Z 690 boots up for about 2-3 seconds, then restarts and pulls me into BIOS (latest version, I checked). That gave me an idea, and i put the m.2 drive into my old PC, installed Windows on it with no issue what so ever. Updated. Did some disk checks, and everything was fine.
