Web3 ago 2024 · The A-S801 is the one with the DAC. I own the 801 and for my system, I like it more than it's $4,000 older brother, the A-S2000. And if you ask me, I would never choose Rotel over Yamaha. Appreciate the feedback from all. They are in the midst of Yamahas consumer line. There is a smaller model A-S301 (less power than the A-S501) and a larger model (A-S801 has USB input).

Just not as detailed, as open and a bit thin sounding. It still sounded good, but I couldn't bring myself to settle on it, when I preferred the sound of my old amps.
